The Senator Hotel & Office Building

The Senator Hotel was constructed in 1924 and in its prime was considered “the finest hotel on the entire Pacific Coast.”

With its close proximity to the State Capitol, it served as an important hotel, meeting place, and social center for the City of Sacramento for many decades.

In the early 1980s it was converted to an office building and was accessible only to its tenants. In 1998, The Senator Atrium again opened its doors to the public.

It was modeled after the Farnese Palace in Italy and still retains many of its elegant features such as original lighting, Terrazzo marble floors and finishes.

The beauty of the location and intimate setting makes it the perfect setting for wedding events, fundraisers, conferences, receptions, dinner parties or small tradeshows.
